New song for Anders Fernette.

Anders should be relieved at not being disqualified from Sweden's flagship music event.

Over in Sweden, SVT have announced that Anders Fernette’s new Melodifestivalen entry will be Run, after it was revealed that Don’t Stop was made public before the first of September.

The song’s composers are an exciting bunch: Desmond Child, Negin Djafari, Hugo Lira, Ian-Paolo Lira and Thomas Gustafsson will collaborate for the first time. Desmond Child is a prolific song writer, perhaps best known for songs like  Bon Jovi’s Livin’ On A Prayer, Ricky Martin’s Livin’ La Vida Loca and Katy Perry’s Walking Up In Vegas.

Thomas Gustafsson and Hugo Lira have also got some good Swedish pop credentials, having both produced for the A-Teens’ debut album The ABBA Generation. Ian-Paolo Lira has contributed vocals to Excellence’s We Can Dance. Negin Djafari also seems to be promising, having contributed vocals to A-Teens’ Around The Corner Of Your Eye and produced for Nina & Kim and Amy Diamond.

A pretty strong line-up of composers, so if Run is in the vein of their previous works, we should be in for a real treat. Anders will perform Run in the fourth semifinal of Melodifestivalen 2011 in Malmö on February 26th.
